Study of Spectra Physical for Some Samples of Medical Herbal by FTIR-ATR Spectroscopy

Abstract
The purpose of this inquiry is to use Fourier Infrared Spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) technology to determine the chemical structure and discrimination of biomolecules in ten medicinal plant samples. To describe and identify the distinct functional groups, the infrared spectra in the
infrared range (4000-400 cm-1) was employed. Clusters in IR spectrum analysis can be attributed to the existence of these bonding structures.
We should focus on the presence or absence of important active groups such as NO2, C≡N, C≡C, C = C, CO, NH, OH and C = O, which give
peaks clearly confirming the composition of the investigation. To identify and analyze biomolecules among medicinal plant species, FTIR
spectroscopy has been utilized as a sensitive and effective test. The results showed that our samples of these plants are rich in many medicinal
compounds, including phenol, between( 3650 -3200) cm-1. Detailed research using these processes helps to screen for active compounds
from plants which leads to further discovery of new drugs.
