The new editorial board of JPNR comprises two associate editors and 26 editorial board members from various biomedical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnological field along with Editor-in-Chief. The new members are having wider knowledge on recent trends of biomedical and pharmaceutical research. In that, 12 are subject-matter expert (SME) in field of pharmacology/ pharmaceutical sciences, 12 are SME in the field of biomedical and clinical research, and 5 are SME in the field of biotechnological research. The main objective of the new editorial board member is to provide a platform to document the negative findings/troubleshooting methods of the research. JPNR is providing a platform for publishing negative results from 2010 onward. But most of the time researchers are not willing to provide/publish negative findings, which may increase the cost of the research and give an avenue to repetitive research and increase the percentage of resource wastage. New editorial team is wishing to enhance the public visibility of the journal and invite the quality research/review papers. The journal is indexed with Emerging Sources Citation Index, Index Copernicus, and Scopus, and publisher is working on to add journals in various databases to have better public visibility.

JPNR follows the guidelines for the manuscripts set out in “Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals” developed by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (http://www.icmje.org/) to maintain the quality of editorial process from day of the journal initiation. The journal is following double-blind review process to screen the author submissions and the new editorial team has decided to reduce the time gap between acceptance and publication by publishing the accepted paper in “Ahead of Print” section.

We all aware of the recent trends and developments of publication industries and value author submissions. We value the author submissions by reducing the time gap between submission to publication. However, the fund generation is very essential to make journal viable and build an international reputation. But by keeping the value of publication of negative results and its impact on society journal is not charging the author for the year 2017. We look forward to your submissions, suggestions, and feedback for further betterment of the journal.
