Abstract

In recent years, the technology behind mobile devices like smartphones has shown remarkable advancement. Also, the field of healthcare is consistently evolving and making strides toward the adoption of the most recent developments in the technological form to achieve optimal performance. As the use of smartphones and internet connectivity, is increasing, customers are getting low rates, home delivery, and easy access from online pharmacies. In this paper, the researchers identify the users of these services and the difficulties encountered by those who rely on these services. The total sample for the study considered was 220 respondents. The data was analyzed through the processes of correlation and structural equation modelling. The data states that although pharmacists advocate the use of mobile applications in healthcare, a number of reasons (such as risk, company policy, and a lack of regulation) may prevent their usage in current pharmacy practice. As the younger generation ages, smartphone apps will become a more recognized manner of managing healthcare in the general population.
