AWARENESS, PREFERENCE AND ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE USAGE OF MENSTRUAL CUPS AMONG GIRLS AND WOMEN

Abstract

A menstrual cup is a tool for managing menstrual flow and is promoted as a healthier and more environmentally friendly option to traditional menstrual sanitary products. The purpose of this study is to know the demographic characteristics of the respondents, their awareness, understanding, and usage of menstruation cups, as well as their experiences with and opinions on these cups. Data were collected from women and girls above fifteen years of age and the results show the lack of knowledge about the product and the various reasons for not preferring the product.
