Captopril The sample preparation for captopril using UV-V technology, and the use and advantages of nano-sorbent materials, when applied to the determination and pre-concentration of captopril, were reviewed. In this work, we use spherical silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) prepared by reacting silver nitrate with citrus aurantium leaf extract to form nanocomposite (CAP_AgNPs), by binding captopril to silver nanoparticles, to obtain a new methodology for captopril identification. Under the chosen experimental conditions, the chain structures (CAP_Ag NPs) were easier to synthesize, stable in the widest pH range and in a regular form. Showed high selectivity and excellent sensitivity to captopril. It was applied for the determination of captopril with overlaid nanomaterial dye. Furthermore, based on electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray measurements, a mechanism has been proposed. It is assumed that the mechanism of the high selectivity towards captopril arises from the tight binding of the sulfhydryl groups of captopril to the active site of the previously prepared CAP-AgNPs.
