BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY: - Sleeping is a physiological habit that occurs in all animal species. A third of a person's lifecycle is made up of it. Although the specific features of sleep are unspecified, they appear to be vital to living because chronic sleep deprivation causes severe physical impairment, cognitive decline, and death. Sleep disturbances have clinical significance because they are symptoms of almost all mental illnesses. Different people need various amounts of sleep. The recommended daily allowance of night's sleep is around 7 and 9 hours. While some people need about 12 hours of sleep each night, others can function well on less than 6 hours. Good sleeping habits and getting enough sleep are crucial for enhancing cognitive function, preventing health issues, and avoiding psychiatric disorders. In Iran (87%), China (87%), and the United States (53-71%), antenatal women have poor sleep quality.
METHODOLOGY: - Using a purposive sampling strategy, the study's pre-experimental one-group pre-test and post-test research design analyzed the healthy sleep habits of 100 pregnant mothers.
CONCLUSION: - As a result, the knowledge of antenatal mothers regarding good sleep practices will improve. And this has an impact on mother’s antenatal period.
