Synthesis, Characterization, Antimicrobial And Anticancer Evaluation Of 3-(4-(4-Bromophenyl) Thiazol-2-Yl)-2-(Substituted Phenyl) Thiazolidin-4-Ones

A series of 3-(4-(4-bromophenyl)thiazol-2-yl)-2-(substituted phenyl)thiazolidin-4-one derivatives was synthesized and These derivatives were characterized by IR, and 1H NMR spectral data. All the compounds were evaluated for their in vitro antimicrobial activity against two Gram negative strains (Escherichia coli) and two Gram positive strains (Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus) and fungal strain Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger. All newly synthesized compounds exhibited promising results.
