The latest approach to pharmaceutical quality is Quality by Design. This article introduces Pharmaceutical Quality by Design (QbD)
and shows how Quality by Design is used to assure pharmaceutical quality. A description of Quality by Design is given, as well as some of its components. Each unit operation's process parameters and quality characteristics are identified. The advantages, possibilities, and steps involved in Pharmaceutical Quality by Design are outlined. The goal of pharmaceutical development is to create a high-quality product and manufacturing method that consistently delivers the product's expected performance. Quality cannot be tested into items; instead, it should be designed into them. The Quality target product profile, crucial quality traits, and major features of Quality by Design are all included. It also compares product quality based on end-of-life testing with product quality based on Quality by Design. The ICH Guidelines are the cornerstone of Quality by Design. It is based on the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) Guidelines Q8 for pharmaceutical development, Q9 for quality risk management, and Q10 for pharmaceutical quality systems. It also discusses how Quality by Design might be used in product development and manufacturing.
