The evolution of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) has affected the substantive functions of Ecuadorian higher education and allowed innovation in the transmission of new knowledge. Higher Education Institutions (IES), generators of knowledge, are no longer the only sources of knowledge. ICTs are offering students access to unlimited sources of knowledge, to digital platforms that allow them to expand this knowledge of information. Undoubtedly, ICTs have transformed current education, moving from a traditional one centered on the teacher to one centered on the student, since the former has ceased to be the main source of information and the main issuer of knowledge to become a guide. or driver of learning, and the student has gone from being a passive receiver of information to an element that actively participates in their own learning. ICTs are offering new ways of learning and teaching, with useful solutions for education and training.
